Improving your lifestyle with Mr.S

Have you ever thought of this?

Waking up in the morning feeling the need to do something but the ideas just won't come into your brain, I know how that feels. Most of the time what I do in this case is, grab a cup of coffee and do a few push-ups. Before you start reading this piece, I think you might want to also take a cup of coffee and get ready to learn and laugh, FYI you don't hear that a lot from your professors.
Today, I'm here to provide y'all with some of the best things that I've learned and give some unemotional stories that will probably get you to think a little. Emotional stories are not my favorite and, sometimes I fall asleep reading them, It's just not my type. Growing up, I never went for the drama books, I was more of the comedy and romance genre. That's not to say I don't have feelings, or I don't want to feel sorry, hell, I've had my feelings broken several times. That's a story for a different time but honestly, y'all possibly will never get to read or listen to it. I advise y'all to mind y'all business and stay out my love life stories which I think would make a great tv show.  But back to the point, how can I hate emotional stories and get you to read my emotional stories, that doesn't quite make sense. Does it?
This is not an essay and I honestly don't wanna think about that right now, neither should you. One thing people don't get about me is the ability to manage myself and my time. I think some people just like assuming things and they don't ever take the time to think to themselves and question themselves like, "maybe I can learn that," or "maybe he learned that some ways," both are great thoughts but the second thought is exactly the important thought. why?  Google "why?" and you'll get millions of results.
But, since this is about me, I will say the answer to "why?" it's basically because I've had experiences. Difficult Experiences specifically, in my opinion, is life-changing and makes you a competitor, be more confident, knowledgeable, and provide you with many skills for the present and the future.
Keep in mind, this is not an essay, it's a blog, or whatever you people call it.
I've always liked exploring, being involved, participating and helping my community, I just think it's a good thing to do. I am indeed from Boston and I won't tell y'all the town, it is near Mattapan station, a well-preserved station where you can take the bus and frankly , you can also find people Gossiping about others which feels normal,right? You could simply be standing there and be starred at which  forces you to ask yourself, do I know him? Do I know her? Why those people staring at me? They need a picture?

Unfortunately , you do get inside the bus without answering any of these questions because it's obvious , you got your bed waiting for you.
Going back to the topic of experiences and bettering yourself with learning new skills. One of my most current experiences was with City Year Boston.
Let me give y'all little details on why I decided to take a gap year and did city year, I wrote the piece back in May 2019, here's a little part from it, I promise it's not that inspirational, but I hope you get something out of it.
"When I brought the idea up to my immigrant parents, their reaction was shocking. It was shocking for me, my siblings and teachers and other students. They simply replied, “you’re still young, so go ahead, get the real experience.” My days in City Year mostly consists of being inside of a classroom with my partner teacher. I often do check-ins with my assigned students and spend time with them in places like the cafeteria where we eat lunch together — I often laugh at their jokes and also witness their talents. Part of what I do is also finding ways to make the inside of the classroom better and provide my team with support."

Immigrant parents typically expect their kids to go straight to college after high school and most would say that it’s mandatory to do so. I explained to my parents that I did not want to spend my first year of college having no idea what I want to do and that the program would be a good option for me."

Now that we have this out of the way, I would like to point out that City Year did change my life in a way that I would have never imagine, I remember being so excited after my interview, getting the call being told "congratulations" and meeting my partner teacher which I will not name here, I do know how noisy people can be. But you get the idea, I am sort of pushing you, not to 100% think about giving back to your community but thinking about something that can make an impact in a neighborhood or town or, critically help your self-esteem. would you agree? honest to God, giving back to your community is such a great way to build confidence to be honest. I totally would agree with that.

With that being said, I will conclude my first blog here, this is not sponsored by anyone, including City Year, but if you'd like to see if there are any city year site in your city then check out;

  2. I think the message of giving back to your neighborhood/a community other than your own to improve self esteem is on point. There is something to be said about the impact helping other people has on a person, whether it be those who are close or those who the person barely knows or doesn't know at all.
